Client & Site: Privacy and Security Statement
Destination Toronto*Destination Plus respects the privacy of our clients who make reservations with the Destination Toronto*Destination Plus online reservation system. The following discloses our information gathering and handling practices for our website(s) - Destination Toronto*Destination Plus.
We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our website. Our site contains links to/from other websites - Destination Toronto*Destination Plus is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.
Destination Toronto*Destination Plus uses a secure server order form to allow clients to make secure hotel reservations. In order to do so we must collect the following client information: name, address, contact phone/fax numbers, email addresses, postal/zip code, and credit card details. Some client information is submitted to our hotel partners to complete the hotel reservation process.
Our website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of the client information under our control. When you make a reservation with Destination Toronto*Destination Plus your personal and credit card details will be protected against non-authorized use. As an additional security measure, at the completion of each show/conference hotel booking cycle all credit card information is automatically deleted from our server and databases.
How it works:
We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL). SSL is a proven security coding system that allows your browser to automatically encrypt (scramble), data before it is sent across the Internet. We also maintain normal private network security systems. This renders Internet reservations as safe or safer than telephone purchases. Once we receive your reservation information it is processed then removed from our Internet based servers and retained on our equally secure in-house reservation system.
In addition to the circumstances described above, Destination Toronto*Destination Plus may disclose member information if required to do so by law, court order, as requested by government or law enforcement authorities, or in the good faith belief that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable including, without limitation, to protect the rights or properties of Destination Toronto*Destination Plus, or when we have reason to believe that disclosing the information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing interference with our rights or properties, whether intentionally or otherwise, or when anyone else could be harmed by such activities.
Any changes or updates to our Privacy / Security policy will be posted on this page.
